Featured Image background
To use featured image as background on a page
Select a Featured Image for your page.
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Click Publish to apply and preview your background as shown.
Custom Image background
To use custom image as background on a page
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Select a Custom Background for your page.
Click Publish to apply and preview your background as shown.
Custom Video background
To use custom video as background on a page
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Select a Custom Background for your page.
Click Publish to apply and preview your background as shown.
- Single videos will loop by default
- You can combine images and videos to create playlists
- Autoplay of videos on some mobile devices is disabled
- Supported video formats MP4, WebM and MOV
Custom YouTube background
To use a YouTube video as background on a page
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Paste the YouTube URL in the Custom Background URL/s for your page.
Click Publish/Update to apply and preview your background as shown.
- Single videos will loop by default
- You can combine images and videos to create slideshows
- To add a comma separated list of YouTube URLs to create a video playlist
- Autoplay of videos on some mobile devices is disabled
Attach to page element/s
Attach background to any page element/s
You can also attach the selected background to any html screen element simply by entering a comma seperated list of elements in the Page Element option. (The default setting is body if blank)
On this page we use the image as a background for the comment section as well. See comment section below.
Blur filter effect for backgrounds
To create Blur filter effects on a page
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Select background/s.
Use the Image Blur slider to select the amount of pixel blur.
All filter changes can be previewed before publishing.
Click Publish to apply.
Black & White and Desaturated Backgrounds
To create Black and White filter effects on a page
Select “Use Backstretch > Yes“.
Select background/s.
Use the Image Grayscale slider to desaturate (30-80%) or convert to black & white (100%).
All filter changes can be previewed before publishing.
Click Publish to apply.
